Lens Advice Please

Hello all, just about to buy a HPX500 and I have a choice of two lenses both Fujinon the HA18X7.6BERM lens and HA16X6.3BERM the price difference is making me prefer the HA18X7.6 and I would like to know apart from a small gain in wide angle would I be loosing anything else. Thanks
 
Hi mate. They are HD lenses, though they arent CAC lenses. You can get the Fujinon 17x CAC lense a bit cheaper than these, though on the HPX I couldnt honestly tell you there is a difference in quality in shot if any. Ask to test them on a monitor.

My prob is I can't test both as there are from different suppliers. I have read that with the higher end HD lenses the CAC function is not really a big deal when compared to the cheaper CAC enhanced models. I was hoping that someone may have had first hand experience with both lenses and could give a recommendation.
 
I don't care for the CAC lenses because they breath too much. There is abig price difference when buying the high quality lenses, but like the old saying goes, you get what you pay for.

that said, it really depends on what you're doing with it. some people don't high quality lenses. I shoot professionally in the film biz and music videos and commercials, so my clients expect the best quality.
