Lens Adapter Prices...

I have a DVX100A and want a lens adapter system for my camera. I tried doing research but can't find a good answer on the price range for each type of lens adapter. Notable adapters I have seen are SGpros, RedRocks, Letus, etc.

What are the final price ranges for the whole system and everything you need?
Also, what are the prices without the lenses. I have some lenses around and maybe I can use them if I just got the lens adapter system. Thanks guys!

I am on a budget, and I know these things aren't cheap, but what is the cheapest setup I can get, with mediocre quality? I've heard SGpros are one of the cheapest but they have to be shipped from overseas. How much do those run for?

im partial to the sgblade...and thats about $2088.00....for the rails, adapter, flip unit, 2 rotorazors and lens mount. (i believe they have 3 rotorazors now)

so factor in lenses after that. ( $50.00 average price)

also if u want a follow focus.... those range from about $300 up. i think the sg follow focus is about $550.

so thatsi if you buy it new. Go to the marketplace section on this site because people are selling off adapter kits now...and u can get a good deal.

I think the Cinemek is nice, even though its a static ground glass. The only other adapter i really like is the Letus Ultimate, but it's definitely not worth the $4000+ is sold for.

Nikon has a 50mm lens for $50 at B&H, but I wouldn't trust it. I was looking at getting the Cinemek and a set of Zeiss and Nikon lenses, but it was just too expensive. It does add a different look to your image, but if you are DOF crazy (kinda like me), I would just shoot with the iris open, and zoom in until you get your desired DOF.

So, what Nikon lens is that... most of mine cost $600-700 (most are over 10 years old...) then there's the wide angle, that came in at about $1500... again over 10 years ago....

Has Nikon gone to all plastic and plastic lenses with high refractivity...

Many nikon/ canon manual still camera lenses are 50 to 100 bucks. Of course there are the more expensive ziess lenses at about 800 and up but an f1.8 or 1.4 canon FD lens is darn good glass. Check KEH.com for lenes. They have a grading system so u know exaclty what kind of condition the lens is in.

Oh, ok, you're talking about used lenses...

I have tended to buy 'new' in lenses... sort of like cars... then drive them to death...

oh yeh...used lenes. what adapter u use J1clark ?

I don't use an adapter for my DVX100 work... I've learned to stop worrying and love deep focus...

About the only 'adapter' that I would think about is the anamorphic adapter that fits onto the front of the 72mm DVX lens...

Even then, my natural inclinations are to avoid any more glass in front of the already designed lens (even changeable still camera lenses, like dopter enhancements etc...).

In case anyone is thinking about purchasing a Cinemek DOF adapter, I would caution not to. I ordered one over six months ago and have still not received it. Pretty disappointing, as I did a lot of research before ordering from them. Last I heard, the business is in financial straits. And my request for any action or refund has just been simply ignored.

It's especially expensive if you just give them the money, and they don't give you anything for it.

that was a known problem a while back but then i think they got there act togther. Looks like its back to sqaure one. I hear its a very fine adapter IF u can get it.

Sorry to hear man...hope u get ur $ back. if u do...get a blade :) good cusotmer servie..awesome image :)
