Leica & Sigma & Panasonic forming FF SL camera/lens alliance around Leica SL mount

according to 43 rumors, Leica & Sigma & Panasonic are forming a lens alliance around the Leica SL full frame mount. Pana will use this in the new FF mirrorless camera. Obviously Lecia uses it in their camera. Sigma cameras and native SL lenses too? No word on Olympus. man this is like the original MFT alliance beginning...a way to beat canon and nikon at the FF mirrorless market

Canon's lens lineuo keeps it at the top of the heap. The reason Nikon is pretty close is that they have a huge line of lenses as well and their lenses turn opposite to Canon's. So they kind of can co-exist. Sony has the horrible ergonomics sector covered :) with a growing line of lenses and more features in-body. So where is there room? If Panasonic is going to enter the FF world wants photographers to jump onboard, they have quite a hill to climb. Video folks are easier to please but photo folks are prickly. So that leads me to believe that any camera from Panasonic will have high level video features. The lenses will be a ? until they let us know. They would be wise to have more lenses ready to go than the Canon/Nikon mirrorless offerings.
