LED light panels suggestions from China?

The white point on the photos I took may have been off, but they were RAW, so I'm not sure how that could have been. Either way, yeah, my test was pretty bad.

Been loving the YN600 so much I bough another. The fan has actually only turned on when using the plastic diffusion... so I don't do that anymore... and I'll keep a pencil nearby just in case. I do love the barn doors to keep it safe when traveling and as a nice mounting point to clip on some real diffusion and make a nice 'bigger' light.

Thanks for the tips.

My friends are buying them and I've got 2 now. Its a crazy deal. I take 2 out for fill light outdoors and put them on a double header on the same stand.

Is it possible to mount two YN600 inside an umbrella style softbox?

Yes that is my primary use for them. Only thing is they may be more likely to turn on the fan, though I've still only had a problem with it once. Only note is that the infrared remote has to be pointed at the light through the softbox diffusion to operate properly.

Hey Noah,

You said you were using selens umbrella softboxes. I'm looking at them on ebay. The prices are affordable, but the $200+ shipping is ludicrous:

Maybe this is just one of those temporary ebay things.

Yeah I noticed that... Mine was about $22 with free shipping 6months ago. Probably if you go with some other 60x90cm or 90cm square umbrella softbox there's a good chance they're identical to the selens. I just ordered a 90x90cm one since I've only had the 60x90cm ones til now. I might just attach some extra diffusion to the one I got where the diffusion isn't strong enough and to the new one if it has the that problem.

Has anybody tried painting the barn doors black? I find I get reflections from them of the Sun or other lights. Not sure what kind of paint to use. I guess Black tape would also work but maybe messy.

No, but if i was going to do that I'd probably opt for black paper tape since it's easy to apply and to remove in case you ever need to.
