In the US, "Wireless microphones that operate in the 600 MHz service band (the 617-652 MHz and 663-698 MHz frequencies) will be required to cease operation sort by no later than July 13, 2020, and may be required to cease operation sooner if they could cause interference to new wireless licensees that commence operations on their licensed spectrum in the 600 MHz service band." https://www.fcc.gov/wireless/bureau-divisions/mobility-division/wireless-microphones

In Canada, last I heard was wireless radio users need to be off the 600MHz band sometime this year or next. A quick Google search doesn't enlighten me. Maybe Trew Audio's offices in Toronto or Vancouver know more specifically. https://www.trewaudio.com

Hotch, I hope your Lectro TX finds a good home. Still a solid bit of kit.

Jim, thanks for the tip about checking with Trew Audio etc. regarding freqs in Canada. The UM400A is indeed a solid bit of kit, unfortunately Lectro no longer offers re-blocking for this unit. Initially I was selling this with my 401 receiver but decided keep it and get that re-blocked to a legal block- which Lectro still does on that receiver. I just need to get a new transmitter now for it. Finding a good home for this unit will pave the way for a new transmitter. ;-)
