Lectrosonics 411A systems (feeler)

I own 4 lectrosonics 411A systems. Block 28 and 29.
These are the blocks that become technically illegal to use starting next month.

It will still be quite awhile before those freq's actually are filled with other stuff
so "as is" they will still work flawlessly for quite awhile.

Anyway, Lectrosonics will for $950 or so change the freq block to whatever you choose. They pretty much swap all the electronics out for new stuff. (you'd almost have brand new units)

I was actually going to continue to use these units as is, until a job came up
(nfl playoffs) where my freq's had to be sent into the RF coordinator in advance,
and i realize for those big time events in another month I might not get
approval since they are technically illegal.

Other than those type events i had zero doubt on continuing to use them on a daily basis, as is.

Ok, enough of the back story..Im considering using this as an excuse to change
all my units over to zaxcom (with built in recorders)

-------------

So here is my proposition, I want to see if anyone is interested.
I can post pics if there is interest.

-------
$1250 per 411A system w/ UM400 transmitter - I have 3 of these systems.
$1750 411A receiver SM transmitter (very tiny transmitter) , UH400plug on transmitter (hand held microphone transmitter) - I have 1 system of this.
-------
(units will come with case, plus the lectro lav mic that has never been used)

$1250 for the unit from me
+$950 (411a + um400) for the freq change at lectro (which is basicly getting a new unit)
= $2200 total

A 411A receiver and UM400 purchased is $2800 new
A 411A receiver, SM transmitter, UH400 tranmitter is $3673 new

I think this is a good opportunity for someone..

anyone interested?

(if someone wants them they need to split the paypal fee with me, im already selling them low and dont want to take a bath with the fees)

Lectrosonics 211 systems are analog systems.
They have a compander that will dirty up the signal a little bit.

Dont get me wrong, 211's are great systems, but Lectrosonics have
since discontinued making them in favor of the digital hybrid 411a's.

The 411's still broadcast on an analog carrier but have digital processing..
basicly making a wireless mic sound almost identical sounding to a hard wire.

VERY VERY VERY clean. (no added noise, or companding)

As far as only being "illegal" in the US..
The new FCC laws do only apply to the US but i honestly dont know
what is legal and not legal outside the usa.

I dont think you'd find a single person on the planet who says a 211
sounds as good as a 411.

Those units you show on ebay are in block 29 so they are in the same boat as mine freq wise)

Oh one more thing worth mentioning about the Lectro 211's.

you CAN NOT, have those freq's changed by lectro because they are no longer manufactured.

You have to have them REPLACED with 411's
at the cost of $1305 for the receiver and $615 for the transmitter

total = $1920 each system

What's the range on the 411 systems?

Your deal dosen't sound too bad, they have one on eBay for $1600. I neet to look into it more.

Thanks!

i dont know what you mean by range.
my transmitters are 100mW output if thats what you mean.

Or if you mean freq range?
2 units are block 28 (1 with a SM transmitter and plug on)
2 units are block 29

Block 28 716.800 to 742.300 MHz
Block 29 742.400 to 767.900 MHz

First come first serve with this guys

In your above post you say you have 4 sets them belowe 3 sets.

Do you have 3 or 4 sets for sale?

Thanks

i have 4 total.

3x 411Areceiver and UM400 transmitter
1x 411A receiever and SM transmitter and UH400 plug on transmitter
(i dont have a price set for this one yet)

And as my original title says this is a feeler.
Im more than likely going to do it, but I have to 100% decide if its worth while.

I didn't know if they had a range listed like 200 feet or 1,000 feet. The current lectro's I have are older, they sound great but the range is pretty short.

Thanks for the info. Let me do some research and I'll get back to you.

The single system that consists of the following:
411A receiver- SM transmitter (very small)- UH400 (plug on tranmitter for hand held mics)

$3673 brand new
I'll sell for $1750 (thats less than half the cost of them new)

Original post edited for this price.

Remember guys,
You dont HAVE to get lectrosonics to change the freq's anytime soon.
In the mean time you'll be getting a $2800 dollar top end wireless system
for $1250!
Currently on ebay 411 systems in the affected blocks are going for $1600-$2000 bux.
This is a bargain!

Getting close to sending these into lectro myself and keeping them
unless someone follows through and snags these from me at a great deal.

I bought others, I didn't have time to dick around with a feeler post to find out if you wan't to keep them or not.

Thanks for your time, not many people have as much of it as you do.

dick around?
All you had to do was make the offer.
Thats just purely pathetic.
If you went with those others you mentioned im glad you overpaid for them.
Especially when you cant get the 211's switched as they are discontinued.

I realized I did my math wrong in the end and I was selling these too cheap.
(lectro charges $840 per set to change, not $950)

Im glad no one snagged the $1250

No worries man, I guess my post sounds worse than what I ment. Why make an offer to someone who is not sure if they are for sale or not? I ended up buying from a guy who he knew his were for sale. It's funny because the source I bought them from had used them for NFL football games for the NFL Network. I got a much better deal than the eBay ones I was looking at.

You shouldn't have any problems selling yours if you decide too?
