GH2 Leave on your variable ND filter?

I just wondered what opinions there are on leaving a fader nd filter permanently attached to your lens. Do some of you take it off when shooting indoors, for instance, and then screw on a uv-filter. I tend to leave my Fader ND filter on all the time because it's too much of a hassle screwing it on and off, particularly if you screw on a UV-filter inbetween. But leaving it on does affect your picture. (haven't tested it but will soon...)

take it off, and the uv filter when shooting at night or indoors with strong lights in the background, it will cause ghost images of the lights
