Leave batteries on charger when not in use?

Since we got our AF100 we are using our HVX200 less. Is it better to keep the batteries off the charger when not in use for a long period of time?

you mean should you leave the batteries on the charger constantly, or off the charger completely?

On the charger permanently = bad idea. Leave them @ 50% charged, then allow them to just discharge while in storage. Take them out occasionally and charge them, and let the charge dissapate while they sit around. Cycling is what I have had the best luck with as far as battery longevity is concerned

all ive ever heard is that its a BAD IDEA to leave batteries on the charger indefinitely.

They corode when over 70% charge. Its best to keep them arounf 50% and recharge to 50% every few months. You do not want to totally discharge because if any cell drops bellow 3 volt +/- it will never charge again. If you discharge to right around that limit and they they discharge a little fromm not being used you could drop further then expected.
