Leaning towards the EX1

I think Steve's being facitious. :cheesy:

RDykmans, it's good to hear that you were able to buy a used EX1 and still get warranty service. CineAlta seems to stand for a cut above in terms of service. They've been absolutely great with me, twice with my first EX1. Second unit seems to have no issues needing service.

I guess I'm too old to understand Steve's humor or attempt at sarcasm (whatever it was and I actually am old BTW). Film it was asking for opinions about the "deal" offered to him on a used one and I thought it sounded pretty good, better then the "deal" I felt I got on the used one I bought.

Sorry if some out there thought my post came across as childish bragging, my main point was that I did buy used and Sony service didn't even question doing the warranty work.

I hadn't seen or heard that one before Steve, I can see the similarities and that bit was pretty funny!

After getting my first EX1 footage I was blown away by the difference in quality between the HVX200. Not just the resolution, but the amount of detail I could bring out of the darks without it becoming a grainy mess. My biggest gripe on the HVX200 is that you still can't import 108024pa footage into a Mac without top edge artifacting.

My ex1 will be in on Tuesday, Im excited! I'm going to try to tweak my Sgpro to get some decent images out of it for you guys. We will see what I can do, I got a 105mm 1.8 that I m Dieing to use... Wayne I need the fix man!
