I just have a hard time taking Nikon seriously considering their lens mount and lack of professional ENG or cinema camera market share. I'm sure its a great camera for those that never plan on moving beyond a DSLR form factor camera but I just find the future too limiting by investing in Nikon. At least m43 has SpeedBooster options to help bridge that gap.
The aim with these cameras seems to be to stop current Nikon users from switching to Sony. They don't offer anything new, and they lack things like dual card slots, eye-detect AF, etc. They are 75% of what Sony offers, at the same price, but you get to keep your Nikon lenses and UI.
And since the aim is to keep Nikon users from switching, and Nikon users are stills centric and not video centric, they just needed to offer limited video capabilities.
I think these cameras will be a success, but they are not for me.
Sounds like you're getting a new toy very soon![]()
I am kind of unclear if the EF lenses can take advantage of the most modern mirrorless features like new, native lenses designed for the system.
If Canon comes out with a full frame mirrorless with EF mount the party will be over for the Nikon Z mirrorless IMHO.
Quite possibly.
If hoever nikon or a third party made a behind the lens ND using the space then qute the opposite.
I would guess canonwould use thier thinner mount that Ive forgotten the name of, or which cameras have it, and go the adapter to EF route.

It looks like Sony is the only full frame mirrorless with a full line of native lenses !
