I'm missing sound...

the violin is a very important "character", so it needs sound.. sound of taking it, a nice "wooden sounding" sound. When he takes it, when he touches it...

the story is a bit boring.....

- how does the violin player knows that the guy sitting next to him outside has no money ? If I see someone sitting next to mee with a tie and a suit... I don't think he's broke.....
give him rubish clothes,garbisch clothes, clothes with holes in it... make him dirty... let him roll over on the street, on the ground... make him dirty...

I still miss sound... the violin music get's annoying after a while... it looses it's "magic"
 
I agree on all counts. We only had a week for production so we ran out of time for all the post production we needed. I plan on fixing some of the sound stuff for a new edit when I have time.

What about the story makes it boring?

The actor that played the violin guy was suppose to wear grungy clothes that day, but I had to work with what I had since we were running short on time. A lot of people have made the comment that they were confused by the guys clothes.
 
Very nice, reminds me of an article i read where some famous violinst was in NYC and playing for a sold out crowd average price was like $200 a ticket. They did an experiment and sent him to play in the subway, and he made like $40 in a few hours. The funny thing was not only did not that many people give much money, but not that many people even stopped to listen, he was giving away for free the beautiful music that many were paying vast sums to be able to experience.

Either way, nice piece, not techincally perfect, but i get the point.

Not boring as in "I fel asleep". But as in "I miss some stuff to make it more alive". In sound (like sound of taking the violin, some atomosphere...

And....always remember... Less is more....
