VaricamLT: LDS (Lens Data System), does it work?

A colleague here in Stockholm wanted to compare the Varicam LT with the Amira so we did it together last week. He had a 50 mm Master Prime available so I changed the settings in the LT to LDS but didn't get any additional information on the display. Has anyone tried this with success?
