LCD4Video 7" HD LCD Monitor

I monitor wise have the LCD4video 7, a Manhattan LCD and a SmallHD monitor. The LCD4Video is pretty good the only thing is you have to hold down one of the buttons for 3 seconds to have it show the full screen otherwise it crops the sides a bit. I bought mine from LCD4Video though I'm pretty sure the liliputs are the exact same and a bit cheaper so I could have saved more money.

What the heck, I've just placed my order on the monitor I mentioned in the previous post, lets see what you get for 180 bucks with shipping =)

Please let us know how it works out and your opinion on the monitor.

Thanks

Recieved my monitor today, the shipping was really fast and directly to the door. Don't want to get my hopes up but it seems like i managed to avoid the taxes!

The service that coollcd offers is really good, they will do anything you ask for when it comes to shipping methods, top notch service and shipping! 24 months guarantee is not bad either! Ask for a free gift when ordering...

The monitor is really nice! It is very sharp and clear, and reproduces what the HMC LCD monitor is showing really good actually, better that I expected it to be! In low light situations it gets a bit harder to see what is in focus, where the panni LCD shows somehow, this one dosen't do it as good. Detaillevel is really nice. I've used some others monitors in this range of money and quality and this is the most sharp one this far.
There's a small speaker at the back of the unit. Decent, nothing special.
It is really light to, barely 400 grams (380 to be precise). I hooked it up via HDMI to the camera and the rest did itself.
The image can be flipped either way if you use an 35 adapter like I do.
You can buy a batterypack for the monitor but I'm using a 10x AA batterypack with 2450 MAH rechargable batteries. Haven't tested for how long it will last but it should be about 2 hours at least.

Overall build quality is decent, it has some rubberlike coating over it. Worst part would be the buttons on it, they feel really cheap and not soft when you press them, quite loud actually. But you won't be pressing them often once you've set it up the way you want it, so that's not a big deal for me as long as they don't break.

Probably the biggest minus is that you only have two (!!!) options when it comes to adjusting the picture, contrast and brightness. The monitor needs some adjusting. The best way I came up with getting the right ammount of brightness was to stop down the camera to the last F stop and point it towards a lightsource such as a bulb. Compared them to each other and adjusted the brightness as good as possible. I'm still trying to figure out the brightness though.

I am really satisfied with it and will use it a lot! I can really recommend both CoolLcd and this monitor. It might not be a Marshall, but it shure is better than nothing when you compare to what you get for the money!

Sorry about the bad images (the picture on the monitor is 10x better than the picture shows) if you need any extra info or so let me know.

I have actually no idea how they are compared to each other, since I've never used a Lilliput. I might add that this monitor came in a totaly no name white package (it is originally packed and everything but simply don't have any brand name of manufacturer on it at all).

Something tells me that this monitor comes straight from the Lilliput factory though without a name so they can sell them cheaper.

I forgot to say this in my oh-so-big review; There is no on off button on it, so while using it with batteries you must unplugg the cable from the monitor each time else the little red/green lamp is on and draining the batteires.
