Okay, this is a weird one. Was recording some pretty low light stuff this evening, changing the settings around a bit, but mostly, using a 50mm Canon f1.4 prime at around 800 ISO in creative movie mode, everything manual. This happened with both automatic and manual white balance modes, and also both smooth and standard film styles (although not apparently, on dynamic.)
Just looking at the LCD before recording in cmm is supposed to be exactly what you are filming, and such has always been my experience. However tonight, it seemed to have something of a green cast to it, which might have been explainable because of the light, but here is the thing, when I hit record, the screen visibly changed and the color cast went away. Started at some point during the evening, and continued happening until I stopped filming. The playback looks fine, this isn't affecting the footage, but it's pretty weird.
Any ideas?
