LCD Protection?

Try this stuff

I first got this for my iPhone, then realised how tough it seems and thought it would be great for the LCD of a camera. I bought a few extra in and now have it on both my consumer Sony cameras and my EX1 LCD.

Either buy it in a sheet, or buy the iPhone one piece back version. Out of the iPhone one you get enough for 2 EX1 LCDs. All you have to do is trim it down a bit to fit.

My LCD got scratched before putting this on just from folding it back in and under the MIC. This stuff would definetly stop that. It has also now hidden those scratches.

I have even now put some of this on my new car at the boot to stop me scratching the paint work when getting gear in and out.

Hmmm.

Thanks Guy

I already have 2 iPhone protectors left out of my 3 pack I got when I bought the phone. Maybe I'll check that out. I am not too good at crafty things and I don't want to cut the thing all crooked. I'll give it a try though.

But if anybody knows of one designed to fit the EX1 I would still like to know about it.

These are a bit better than your standard screen protector. The cheaper ones still scratch etc but this stuff doesn't. All you need to do is measure the LCD to the mm, cut a square to that size and apply carefully (making sure the LCD is clean first of course).

I'm going to try it. The ones I have are very strong, though I have bubbles on my iPod. I have to be careful.
