LCD projector image characteristics?

Anyone have much experience displaying their work via LCD projector? My current corporate project will primarily be shown in this way and I'm wondering if there are issues I will need to consider.

I'm sure specs vary greatly by individual products, but in general, are the color space, contrast, and resolution similar to a computer LCD display, or to an NTSC television, or neither? I'm assuming it's closest to the LCD monitor, but wondering if my colors are going to go completely wacky from what I'm seeing on my PC...

should be similar to pc colors but it depends on the calibration of your monitor as compared to the calibration of the projector. if they are both accurate for the color temp given. it should be the same
