LCD monitoring...

Hey guys, I'm thinking of buying this item to use for my shoots. I know the GH1 doesn't have live view while recording, but would be useful for framing and checking for unwanted extras...
Do you think this is a good deal or should I get a LCD magnifier like the Zacuto Z-finder. I am kind of tired of staring into the small LCD screen and viewfinder on the camera itself.

Here is what I'm thinking of buying.

Most popular LCD is newest Lilliput 7" model with sun shade, HDMI, BNC connectors and build in battery.
Look at ebay, it costs something around $160-170.

I use 10" LCD with HDMI (look at review thread at this forum), it is useful but has overscan problem (so, not so good for accurate framing).

Marshall is about $500 or $600 as far as I understand. And it is very small.

Yes. Sorry I thought that price is lower.

I don't have one, so can't tell image quality. But from that know and looking at pictures it seems pretty usable.

Just for me 7" is pretty small size. As if you are one man band having larger LCD turned to your position (camera is just fixed on tripod) helps with determinating problems.

Plus my 10" LCD can be used as telepromter if you are not good at remembering text (make video, put it in SD card and insert SD in player, select file start play and use wireless remote to pause it then just start during take) :-)
