another neophyte question...
I have a crt monitor for editing, color correction, etc, though I sometimes hook my pc up to my dvx via firewire, then hook it up to regular tv.
I've thought about getting an lcd monitor, but someone who works at a local cable station said crt is actually better as it has more contrast.
I've 17' lcd monitors with 1280x1024 resolution for $200... But is that not good enough to make it better than my crt? Is lcd not the way to go?
I guess I'm having the usual low budget blues - I read what the real professionals use, discover I can't afford it, then try to cobble something 'good enough'.
