LCD monitor protection.

Hey all,
I just purchased my dvx100a this week...haven't even had a chance to use it yet. I have been shooting on an XL1 for 4 years but now I jumped ship to Pani! Do any of you do anything regarding the protection of the flip out lcd? A thought came to me that maybe I could use a screen protector similar to what you can use on a Palm Pilot. It basically a transparent square, stick-on sheet. It protects the screen from any scratches. Anyone do this already? Will it work? Is it not recommended? Any input will be appreciated. Thanks.

Joey, I use these screen protector films on most of my LCDs (Pocket PC, DVX)
they work great and protect the LCD well against scratches.
I do get a bit of glare on the DVX LCD with the protective film on, but my Hoodman
can cope with it.
