LCD is white

In both camera and VCR mode the viewfinder works.

However, if I open the LCD is just white. Though, if i flip the LCD and turn it back against the control panel so that the LCD points away from the camera, it displays the video.

Since it is displayed in the viewfinder, it probably isn't a problem with the heads.

And since the LCD can show the picture if in that position, the LCD isn't broken.

Has anyone seen this problem before? Is it just a loose wire?

Could be the data ribbon. I've had that happen to me to one of the cameras that I use to capture video from the DVX. Look for a new ribbon. I think spec-comm has ribbons they can mail you, but you'll need to get it fixed by someone who knows their stuff, because getting to both ends of that ribbon is gonna be a PITA.
