I need a better source than the LCD that the camera has. I just too small!!

What options do I have other than taking a monitor with me to shoot

Kind of confused with your question... Only way to get a better/bigger screen is to take a monitor with you on a shoot. A 7" HD LCD is both compact enough to mount on the camera and big enough to see what your shooting, IMO. CoolLCD.com has HD monitors starting < $200 where as a real production monitor is $500-$800 and would be a Marshall, Manhattan, SmallHD, etc..

I cant take a monitor, I travel and film in strange place. I need to travel light. I need a bigger LCD screen, like the DVX100 one or larger. I'm not sure if you can attach it somehow...
I guess you can..

Have you seen the RUIGE TL-480HD 4.8"? Haven't used it but it looks like a nice compact monitor with some essential features. You can attach it to your top shoe mount or even with an arm that could attach to the bottom mount of the camera.
