GH3 LCD Exposure shift upon half press/record

Hey fellas - I can't remember if the GH2 did this but while testing a little indoors, I correctly set the ISO so the exposure meter read 0. But upon half press to record, the LCD darkens and now my exposure meter reads too dark. Anyone know what's up there?

Yes, it's a bug. Was never fixed that I know of and people just got used to it/worked around it. On a brighter note, GH3 no longer does this, thank you Panasonic!

Hey man, this was on my new GH3 using my Lumix 25mm f/1.4 lens (not sure if that matters).
Ok, what you need to do is go into the menu options and change your monitor luminance level to *2

That will fix that problem.

JFR - I believe the luminance level controls the brightness of the display and has no effect on the actual metering. If you're in Manual Movie Mode and half press to focus, take note of the exposure meter and the screen darkening. Once you full press to start Recording, I noticed that the display returns to normal and so does the exposure meter. I have no idea why that's happening.

Try it, prior to that it will adjust. *2 on luminance level will maintain the same exposure on your screen. Go to the menu and do as I suggested, it will fix your problem.

I already had it set to Luminance *2 since I often shoot in bright sunlight. So, unfortunately, same issue. Both my GH3s do this so it's either another setting or a bug. Thx for input.
