LCD Brightness issue on the GH5S

Hello group, can someone help me I'm having issue with the GH5S LCD brightness, I tried to shoot in the brightest LCD setting, but, I can't use the brightest mode because it keeps dimming after only a short time and does not go back bright again until I touch something on the camera, it is making me nuts, I'm sure its a quick fix, or perhaps you can't shoot with the LCD open at the highest bright setting? Any help would be very much appreciated!

If you google this question, there are dozens of people asking about it and supposedly it's a feature to avoid burn-in on the camera's screen and there's no solution (but this was all 3-4 years ago so maybe a FW option introduced a setting in the menu that disables dimming).

If you've checked and it's clearly not there then nothing has changed - and your monitor luminance isn't on 'auto' - then that's how it's meant to be.
