LB Skatepark "Playing Your Game" HD (Filmed w/ Nikon D90)

Looks alreet.

Technically, you are over-exposed alot of the time, I'd suggest you palm your hand to make a shade over the LCD and try to under expose abit.

Creatively, I'd love to see you do more daring kind of shots and dynamics. I'd strap the camera to a make-shift skateboard rig and dash it off. (Make sure you've insured it and do it properly though!)

Oh and I'd suggest you credit yourself like "Shot and Cut by John Edwards", as all those credits are kind of amateur and make you look greedy. Plus there's not that much directing you can do when documenting skateboarders.

Sure there is, you direct where exactly the skateboard tricks should go in order of difficulty. And as for the camera, this is actually the first video I made with it in 2008 when I bought it. Since then I have figured out every dynamic part and technique in filming.

Here is the short film I have created using the D90: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5otVdc2733s "Audacity"

Let me know what you think, it has more creative shots and a story. Enjoy it

A lot of action going on. Choice of lens in a situation like this can make the difference. In some shots large expanse of sky makes it very difficult for good exposure. Overall not a bad skate board starter video. I don't think that it is over exposed that much either.

Steve.
