have never done anything complicated, soundwise, with my 100A.

But am about to go out on a series of shoots and was wondering (pls forgive these silly questions:
about using both inputs, one for shotgun & other for lav.
and if that is do-able, which would the tape be picking up. again, forgive my ignorance here.

if this is possible, can you explain the setup and what is happening.

may thanks,

Hello Bernie,

You'd want to have each mic on its own channel. You would do that with the audio switches on the camera. My advice would be to practice before the shoot.

I wonder if it is possible to record multiple channels of audio without having a 4 track recorder? I am refering to using a laptop as the recorder and lets say a firewire or usb mixer like Alesis, Tascam, etc.? Just curious. :)
