F3: Laundromat Spot - First one with my F3

A short 15s piece - fun to create. I shot slog straight to sxs card, edited in final cut and graded in davinci using MacGregors lut. Used 20mm, 35mm, 50mm pentax takumars. The camera is a joy to use. The 3ality armor and manhandle make it very versatile and quick for setups.

The spot made it to the theatres for opening week of Transformers here in Canada. Pretty satisfying having your work on the big screen...all 15s of it :)

Hey Mark, Thanks!
Lighting for this setup was pretty simple. I used a Rifa 55 (650w) soft box as key/fill (light facing the machines) and to push into the dryer a bit. I used (2x) 1K shop lights through a double shower curtain for front key/fill. Omni Light (500w) was used for background and a Lowel pro light (250w) used for hair light. I didn't have an egg crate insert for the Rifa so I built some barn doors out of blackwrap which worked a treat and was able to focus my light where I needed it to go. Keeping dryer door reflections clean from light stands or other distractions was achieved by hanging a 12x4 black carpet runner across the back wall opposite the dryers and careful camera placement.
