This is some footage I shot for an exercise in class. The exercise was to take 1 hour to select a write, select a location, setup and shoot. The theme for us to work with was something "Supernatural".

We came up with a story and shot some footage.

I directed it, shot much of it and edited it. I was happy with how the footage looked overall, i think it still could use some color correction and grading but i still dont know how to do that. Had a pretty good group of people to work with overall.

This was using no type of lighting other than what was in/outside.

It was shot on the D90 with nikkor 28mm 2.8 lens

This is the second edit, i was able to find some nice color correction plugins and I think it adds much more of a film look as opposed to a home movie look. Let me know what you think.

Jon,
considering everything was done in 1 hour that's good stuff: the dynamic shot positions around the desk near the beginning are cool. It's such a classic location for zombies too, so nice one for the selection of type of supernatural although that girl could have got away a bit faster! "go,go" i was cursing.

Please make the original file available for download on vimeo. If you don't mind i would like to put some color correction on it maybe some masks like the poster above suggested considering the lack of filmic lighting (because you shot it in 1 hour). I'm not at all saying i can do any good with it but i'd just like go. cheers!

Second one is private.
Your actors are looking into the lens it kinda destroys everything, some close up shots are ok but female acting needs some work and i would use some other lens with more DOF control.

I agree.

Hey JonE5, I'll PM you soon with my attempt at some grading, thanks for putting up the other version.
