Sweet. I've always thought about doing that here in Vegas. I've thought about maybe just showing the DJ at clubs and the crowd being all pumped. Different performances, then output to a small dvd aka mini-dvd and they can use it kind of like a bussiness card, or a video resume of sorts.

So Mars just asked the club if you could come in and shoot and they said yes?

I'm filming stuff with Mars over time. I actually had to schmooze my way in that night. But...as always it just turned into an opportunity to speak with the club owner and make a new connection.

what were your compression settings?

I used the Ken Stone YouTube/Compressor tutorial pretty much.

I like the output. It's hit and miss depending on the material.

Looks good, so did you create your compression settings using vegas for your final output video?

No. FCP to Compressor. Manual adjustments in Compressor pretty much ver batim per the tutorial. Depending on the length of the clip I push the quality up or down to hit the 100mb limit.

I have to say too what I really love is my LitePanels DV Camera Mount Light. I shot a bunch of scenarios in the club. Of course some of the best effects are no lighting except for the DJ lights. But sometimes I just lit Mars in the foreground and it looked pretty natural, non-intrusive, non-camera mount wedding receptionish.

Ahhhhhhh...YEAH!!!

Sad thing is my brother has taken to the jib operator position. Don't get me wrong...I know how to use it. He's just more skilled than I. Using the jib that is.
