lastclip.txt

Apparantly when we were transferring the files onto the HD, the lastclip.txt file from one of the cards did not quite make it. I tried rebuilding the text file after doing a little research on the forum, but to no avail. Is there anything I can do to get these files into final cut? Any other software I can use for the MXF files?

Thanks,
Jennifer

Same thing happened with me, I simple copy pasted the text file from another p2 folder. It worked fine.

Good Luck

I just tried this and I still get the error message.

Is there any other software I can use to get these files into quicktimes?

Thanks.

As long as you have the rest of the contents folder, HD Log will import the files and convert to Quicktime for you. It uses the XML file in the Clip folder.

Yes, either P2 Log or HD Log can do this because they read the metadata from the XML portion of the P2 volume and ignores the 'lastclip' file. The FCP XML export will then convert the clips to QT. Open in FCP as XML import, not P2 import..
