Hello Guillaum

your shooting help us to appreciate this problematic cam (sorry my english, i'm using google traslate)
What is your secret? (setting, file-scene, lens, shutter...)

OT ON

I don't Know it, but i just love it!
OT OUT

good life|

The "centre Auto" infomercial was shot with Fujinon Th13x3.5BRMU wide angle lens in 720p50 format.
All setting was based on BBC setting for film.
Detail was always at -4, pedestal at +3 and chroma at -4. shutter at 180°

The "Bac Jaune was shot with JVC PL mount adaptor with Zeiss super 16 vario sonnar zoom.
We have some problem with weather when we shot this film (very rainy). A nightmare!!!! :-)

Thanks Guillaum!

well!
Fujinon Th13x3.5BRMU,
JVC PL mount adaptor with Zeiss super 16 vario sonnar zoom:
now all is clearer to me.
The 301 cam needs another lens than bundle's

ciao

Very nice. I am surprised that despide the heavy camera movement in the second clip I could not see any signs of skew or is the movement speed up in post ?

Hello, these are the 2 last clips shot with my hpx301.
These are not perfect because of short time and budget but the hpx300 do the job very well.
The "Bac Jaune" was shot in 1080p25 and the "Centre Auto" Infomercial was shot in 720p50 (converted in 25p for Vimeo)... And there is no noise or skew...

Hope you like them.

Thank you !
The second clip is at original speed. We used 50P for better tv viewing and avoid stuttering on steadicam movement.
It's sure that 720P produce less rolling shutter artefacts.

to Umbit : I am sure you can take very good results with HPX300 stock lens. Have you tried BBC setting? Lighting is very important too.

hope my english isn't to bad :-P

Hallo Guillaum!
I like your spots! Well i prefer the long take one ( if i'm not wrong there is only one cut in the shoot ), it's very well done, good acting, fun and a very precise steady work! Are you the man beyond the steady?
Good photography and i've to say something about the 301...this is a very good camera. I've changed my new 371 for a 301 (i've opened a thread in june on my doubt about this new camera's flaws). I prefer it sooooo much!!!
I'm very happy to see a forum like this, with pros that shares their works, suggestions, tips and tricks.
In Italy most prefer the sony ex series, and they talk not in a good way of the 301... But nobody of them have seen what a good camera operator can do with the right settings on this camera!
Very,very good work!
Bests,
Roberto

Hello Roberto, thank you for you comments.

You are right, there is one cut on the second Fiat logo ;-) .
The man beyond the steadicam is Dan Occo ( http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0643653/ ) . He is a very nice guy and experimented operator.

In france and caribbean french islands lot of productions prefer Ex series and hdslr too but i personnaly thinks that hpx300 is ideal camera for most our projects (most of the time we have little budget ).

We are actualy working on documentary shot with hpx300 and Pl lens and everybody are very pleased with pictures http://www.vimeo.com/12434277

to Ccastro : :-D Thank you. lol

Thanks again.
Best regards,

guillaume

how did you controll the focus during such camera movements ???

Thank you !
