laptop with dvi output for theatrical

I have an fcp project on g5 and need to play it out at a theater with nec 3200 projector that has dvi input. Are there laptops with dvi out? Anything else to consider? Will this even work?

My old macbook pro has a dvi out.

However, do you have access to any kind of laptop? Surely whatever laptop you find will have a connection that can be hooked up to DVI with an adapter.

HDMI can be converted to DVI with a simple cheap passive adapter (Won't convert Audio, and HDCP may have issues). HDMI is common on many (most?) modern laptops.

I'd recommend that you either make a Blu-Ray or get a standalone media player drive & run the show off of that.

Looks like the stand alone makes sense. Thanks. What kind of stand alone media player might work. I don't have Encore to make blu ray.

make sure that you get one that supports playlists. You should be able to make a .h264 as either a .mp4 or .mov and play that from most media players.

We use MacBook Pro's for this type of thing quite often. Full res native codec self-contained QT works great, as it plays natively in QT player with the Present Movie option. Always looks it's best, without transcoding.
