what about the display?i read that SONY VAIO A497XP(1920x1200) supports recreation of high definition images.That means that it is like a monitor for the hvx 200,where we can see the real(analysis) result of our capture?

Jubal do you have a single Hard Drive or dual Drives in your HP?
 
Jubal, what kind of problems would I incur if I used a internal single 5400rpm Drive with an external data drive?
 
Well, you can almost forget capturing or recording directly to your internal hard drive. But other than that, you should be OK if you're just running your system and software from the 5400 RPM drive.
