"Lanterns" - Pre, Pro, and Post

Hey Will. Thanks for putting those clips up. I think the XDcam definitely looks great in comparison to the DVX. Although it might not have that mojo, have you tried grading to tastes yet? If so, has the footage held up well? Just messing with it in Quicktime's setting pulls some nice looking imagery, and the footage was already clean and nice to begin with! Are you set on the DVX?
 
I know, I am torn the more I sit and think about it. The XDcam gives great images (lacking a little pop) for sure. I also am in love with the shallow DoF my Brevis is giving me. If I had total control of my backgrounds (read: time/money), and large spaces to shoot in, the XDcam would be a no brainier. I still have to seriously grade the footage so that might change things, obviously. I am taking them out again soon (if i can get my hands on one) so I'll have a little more to compare.
 
Well honestly, if you don't feel like it'll add anythiing then the no brainers are the tools you already have.
