SHORT: "Lane and Russell" - Indiegogo Campaign Live!

Hey, guys! As some of you may know, I just finished up my latest short film, "Appalachia." Since the post-production process of that film, I've picked up my latest project, which is as the producer and director of photography for the short film, "Lane and Russell." L&R has a little bit of a crazy back story. The idea was fabricated way back in 2000 when the original creators were in college. They made a (terrible) short film and entered it into the student film festival. To their surprise, they got a standing ovation, and when the idea took off, they always wanted to make a real short film out of it. After Jason, the mastermind behind the project, pursued a film career for several years, they wrote a script. After another long halt, there was a KS campaign ran - a few months ago - that was unsuccessful (but don't let that scare you away!). I was brought on as the DP, then actually fell into the role of the producer because of my own production experience. I've been able to help rebudget and practically cut it in half. I've since helped launch a new Indiegogo campaign, in which we're already at $940 within the first 2 days! I feel pretty confident that I've brought a new and more reliable caliber to this production in terms of controlling the film. I'd really appreciate it if all my fellow friends and DVXusers here would check out the campaign, website, FB, etc. I'll leave some stuff below. And, I'll keep this post updated/edited as I go.

Lane and Russell are two friends who work at a bowling alley together, but Lane and Russell are completely different. When the Viper Girls, the world's most elite female bowling team, pay a visit to the alley, the duo's world gets flipped upside down.

Here's the website, which is still under a little bit of construction: http://www.laneandrussell.com/

Please check out the Indiegogo campaign and consider backing us! We've got some really great perks to top it off.

I'll be posting more soon. I'm out of time for now. Let me know what you guys think. :)

We're about 2/3 of the way to our goal, but we'd really like to get more than we have our goal set at. If you haven't yet, please take a look at the Indiegogo page. Leave your thoughts here if you would like. I would appreciate it so much. :)

Wow, Kryan - congrats!
Your campaign seems to be going really really well.
Any thoughts on what you've done that has worked for you?

Looks like a great project, and obviously many other people think so too.

Passed the target and counting. I think the success is down to an honest appeal video, the makers have a pair of solid characters and a clear vision which they've been living with for a long time now. The target is modest, the promo stills and slick website suggest a production value far in excess of what they are asking for.
