Laing M-02 Stabilizer

For those of you looking for a full but affordable steadicam rig for your FS700 look no further. Check out this overview/review video I did for the Laing M-02 stabilizer. I'm demoing it with my 22lbs Scarlet Rig but I've also flown my 14lbs FS700 rig on it without a problem:

Thanks for the video.

how did you learn to fly it? do you have experience with other steadi-cam rigs? how does it compare? Strengths, weaknesses? what features is it missing or would you like to see added?

Anything else you can add would be greatly appreciated as I am very interested in a low cost stabilizer rig.

I have some experience flying glidecams and steadicam and this yet is comparable to systems at least 5x as much. It has everything I need to get the job done.

and the price.... damn.... if they managed to make a workable copy why would you need Steadicam. What ever tool that gets the job done right is good enough. I had the Pilot for the FS100 but really didnt like the weight limitations.... problem seems solved with this one.

This is the second thread on this stabilizer. The price is pretty unreal. All of the video examples I have seen on this site indicate that the unit is more than capable of producing great footage. Strongly considering it as my next significant purchase. But I have a looooong way to go before I would start producing decent footage....lol

Here is the other thread on this stabilizer;

Just made an impulsive decision and bought one. I'll hopefully try to get something up when mine comes in as well to help those of you still trying to make a decision

lol..atta boy!!!....sounds like something I would do. Do you have any experience with stablizers ? Everyone else doing a 'review' on here seems more like a commercial to me. I would love to hear some real world feedback, good luck and happy flying.

I've owned and used both glidecams and the blackbird stabilizer. I've also operated my friends Steadicam Zephyr a few times. But I'll definitely take it out to play and put it through it's paces.
