I love Ladytron. What album is this from? I don't recognize it, and it sounds kind of newer, more polished than the stuff on the Mu-tron EP or 604.

I can't seem to get video from it, just audio. WinAmp sees the audio, Media Player just crashes... I didn't know MP4 included video. What do you suggest to play this with?

I dont have the disque handy, not sure which one it is. But, I'm not too sure about playing w/ Winamp -- it will definately work if you just open the file with your quicktime player (i encoded it just with quicktime pro)

check it out, tell me what you think hehehehe

Yep, Quicktime will play it for sure.

As for the clip, it looked good. Specially the time remapping shots.

There's some shots in that video that look like they have quite shallow depth of field. Did you use the long end of the lens on the DVX or some other camera?

The colour correction is really greeat. I really like some of the things you've done.

Looks similar to the colour warping effect in the discreet product line. I'm a discreet smoke artist up here in Montreal and have been trying similar effects in smoke 6.

You must have used a Glidecam or Steadicam Jr? Awesome stuff.

thanks for the awesome reviews so far!! A few of those shots did come from an SDX900 with a kick ass lens on it :) but 98% of everything was definitely DVX100a. The entire thing was posted in FCP --> have yet to get the time to move the EDL over to the smoke 6! Im a smoke artist as well here in the states. I love smoke. AND FOR ALL WHO ARE ASKING ABOUT THE STABILIZATION, I used the new and unreleased/announced stabilizer from Bogen/Manfrotto. The thing is awesome, although I would love to post some pics/info, i'm not really at liberty to. I can tell you what it's called, "The Bogentoter"

Sorry about the bogentoter thing, I WAS COMPLETELY KIDDING!! I actually just use a small manfrotto tripod as my stabilizer --> extend the middle peice while leaving the legs collapsed -- hold it just like u would a glidecam handheld or any of those things, u can get just as good if not better results with equipment you probably already own. The house i work for does own smoke, and i have after hours access to it. Smoke is awesome, everyone should have one :)

There's a group called Ladytron? Gee...I had a band called Ladytron waaaaay back when. Well, right after the Roxy Music album came out, anyway. That was reasonably waaaaay back, I guess. :D
