Lack of mid-tone detail

I've been having problems with mid-tone detail in daylight shots. These detail shots make the subjects look like they have serious burns on their face, though they seem to be properly exposed (especially his forehead). I get a strong line between the highs and lows. I'm using F6 scene file (I forget what the name is). I'm considering swtiching from our HMC150s to our T2i DSLR for outdoor stuff, but I'd rather fix what is going on here...Thoughts?

This is what all white people look like to me, pink skinned demons. :-p

All joking aside, they look fine to me? If you're so worried just desaturate those shots slightly in post, and maybe do a little S-curve in Color to even out the skintones.

edit: or have a makeup person on set to liberally apply foundation.
