labels for gear?

Not exactly a high tech question but where do you guys get labels for your gear and what kind material are they?
I've been using some cheap crap that wears off.

You can also put clear packing tape. Cut to size, over those labels, for some longevity.

Have that exact label maker! I think most individuals/freelancers/production companies use a varied type of label maker like the Brother one...and rental houses get their own waterproof, non-paper, barcoded labels like you can get here: http://www.myassettag.com/

I use the P-Touch. Full characters, several fonts and font sizes, different color tapes and the tape sticks pretty well. I have some on my lens caps, under the handles of equipment cases, business folders, etc. Cheap, fast and handy.
