LA Latitude

Well this is my first post since I joined this forum almost a year ago. Just felt it’s about time I posted some of my stuff.
These are just some test shots I took of LA while scouting for locations. I wanted to capture areas I thought were the “true” downtown LA, while testing this camera’s latitude. Just proves how sensitive the DVX is to darker areas.

LA looks kinda empty...looks warm and comforable as well 8)...How dare you try to trick me!! Trying to get me to think LA is empty and comfortable..AAHHH ;)

Re: LA Latitude

lol I wish it were empty during rush hour traffic! you don't know traffic unless u've been on the 405 or 110. Well these were all taken after rush hour, so about 7:30 pm.

Re: LA Latitude

Great shots! Being a OC boy transplanted to Columbus, Ohio I love seeing a real city again. Really great colors, I love the night one with the fountain.
These people complain about traffic here, try being at the interchange of the 10, 5 and 101 at 5:30.

Re: LA Latitude

They are really impressive shots. I'm assuming you were on F5 or 6, but if you have any details, it would be great to know something about the conditions and your settings. They're all really well framed with great color and exposure, but that shot of the Orpheum is fantastic.

Re: LA Latitude

thanks for all the great feedback! Again this camera is awesome!

Irony is a dish best served flaming hot
very true.

Kristofer: these were all with the original DVX100 just letterboxed. IMHO this camera has the best color renditions at the prosumer level hands down!
