I am still a Junior in High school but I pretty much decided that i am going to la film...Has anyone done that? Was it good? Was it worth the money? Give me some thoughts and some feedback on this school...please.

its important to remember that film school, asid efrom the technical understanding, is really all about finding your creative boundries, and networking. im looking into FullSail in FL myself after spending two years in Alaska sutdent visual media. Also the Vancouver Film School and Ithica College. All these, and probably the L.A. film school will give the networking that you need, though i guess it depends on how long your looking to stay and what your looking to do.

I'm at Ithaca right now for cinema and photography.

It's a great program. They have a ton of equipment that you can take out, and the network is great. Not to mention their internship network. :)

Loving it so far.

My opinion is do not go to a trade school like LA film school! I'm not saying this out of complete certainty but lots of times those types of schools can be scams and also you don't get an actual college degree from there. My suggestion is CSUN, which is where I am attending now. Its perfect if you can't afford or don't have the grades for a place like USC. CSUN actually has the third best film program in California next to Chapman and USC. And since it is a university you do get an actual bachelors degree which is always something good to have.

I totally agree, almost fell into the Full Sail trap (visited the beautiful campus, then spoke to the students.... waste of money was all I heard and they work you like dogs so they can get you out as soon as possible to make wave for more), but right now I'm studying film production at Keene State College (almost went to Ithaca). Attending a traditional 4 year school that offers film not only gives you more credibility and options, but the full-fledged college experience and the chance to jump start your film career.
