I am looking for an experienced LA based Final Cut Pro editor to work on a 5 minute trailer DVD for a documentary filmed at the Shaolin Temple in China. The Shaolin Temple is renown because of the Shaolin monks who integrated Chinese kungfu with Buddhism, and became some of the most powerful warriors the world has ever known. But instead of focusing on myths or history, this realistic documentary follows the stories of 4 people from different backgrounds who practice kungfu at the schools near the Temple. As they adapt to the harsh realities of training, they all pursue a dream, the dream of Shaolin…

Documentary will air on American TV in 2005. Applicant must have an interest in martial arts and Asian culture, as well as a deep technical understanding of FCP. Understanding of spoken Mandarin is also a plus. Work begins immediately and should last no longer than 1 month. Pay is negotiable. I have my own Powerbook G4 with FCP, but it would be great if you had your own equipment also.

Please contact Alexander at: hanguolaohu-shaolin@yahoo.com

Please include resume and a brief description of yourself, and the reason why this documentary interests you. If you have your own equipment, please list the specs.

Thank you.
