L&T issue, what am i doing wrong?

trying to import clips from my gh1, i can see the clips, and play them, but when i try to transfer them the status arrows spin for a couple seconds and then turn into a "!" on a little red stop sign. I have a class 10 sd card, and FCE configured to work from my 500gb external. the clips i tried were no more than 33 sec in leingth. someone suggested that i change the audio to plain stereo, still no luck.

any suggestions? ideas?
