Kung Fury

that call for Thor was awesome. Well, ok the whole thing is pretty AWESOME!!!

Nice find, Barry!

Bonus points for use of the Nintendo Glove.

Terrible, terrible game controller that is only good as a prop.

That's cool and all, but can they walk and flip their hair like the original bad boys (and girl) of the streets?

I see your Kung Fuhrer and raise you one Kurtwood Smith.

Just watched it. I didn't believe it could be sustained for 30 minutes at the same level of freebase awesome as the trailer but I was wrong. The 80s were definitely this cool in my mind.

Didn't like it much. It's just a rehash of all the worst things about the 80s to me...
Impressive project but result I don't care for at all.

Having lived through it all, that was a movie nightmare that will haunt my soul. More painful than watching a TJ Hooker marathon. But I was impressed by the love and care the filmmakers had for the genre.

Nothing exceeds like excess!

The director now has Hollywood backing for a full length Kung Fury feature, so there's lots more to come...

All I can say is... this is magnificent and the epitome of filmmaking. It is perhaps why film, as a medium, was invented in the first place -- to bring us to the point where such a thing of magnificence as Kung Fury could be brought into existence.

That pretty much sums up my feelings towards the project as well.

When a David Hasselhoff song is the best thing about a film you're walking on thin ice! ;)

I thought it was going to be one of those well-executed-but-no-substance thing, but it was entertaining and had some genuine funny bits in there.

I did notice though that at around 10:30, they show some Java code, which ruins the realism of everything else in the movie since it's supposed to be the 80's. I would have gone with GW-BASIC myself.

At least they got the laser-raptors and the Kung Fuhrer historically accurate.
