This is the finished version of this project. I would like to hear any constructive criticism you may have, my background is in broadcast news but I'm trying to add a more cinematic look and feel to my shooting and editing style.
Theirs a description attached to the link on my FB page that will give you background on the story itself if you care to read it.

As for the technical aspects of this project I used the HPX 300, 50% of the time and the 5DM2 50 % of the time. I incorporated the Kessler Jib and Cineslider as much as I could.

I shot, edited, mastered sound and color corrected so any flaws you find please point them out.

I'm interested in "stepping my game up" as they say and becoming better.

Thanks.

beautifully conceived, shot, edited. When the story's great, you forget to think about technical aspects--a good sign. I liked his interview as voice-over, but wondered if it would be good to bring him in as live sync-sound for a couple points for reference. Nice!

Thank you Danny, I couldn't agree more about the subject matter. He was painfully shy and it was evident to me that he was going to be awful on camera. I tried to interview him on cam and he was short, evasive and flat out nervous.

I asked him to just go back to painting and we would pick up his interview later, he simply forgot that he was wired and I asked him questions while he was painting or taking a break.

I just didn't point the camera at him, when he finally remembered about the interview he said "well I think I wouldn't be good on camera, can you do this some other way", I said your sound was fantastic, he then realized I had been recording him, lol...
