Hey all,

In my continuing quest to find the slider to fit my needs I happened upon the Konova Slider (http://konovaphoto.com/best-selling/k-3080.html?SID=7j7m9e6nu4d720bq0mp3ikrkn7) over on Ebay. A little more digging and I found that if you order from the site now you get Free Shipping so that looked like a pretty damn good deal. I liked how you could mount it many different ways.

However, the slider seems to be new on the market as I can't find any firm reviews or many test videos outside of one guy on Youtube.

Anybody here have one? Thoughts?

Hi,does anybody think that that this slider "Konova" can be used with big camera like the PMW-350? anybody uses a big camera with this kind of slider or others like this slider..I'm looking for a slider to use with my PMW-350..
Thanks

No, you can't use with a big camera like PMW-350. It will bend when mounted on Tripod. But any DSLR would be a great combination. I have used this Konova slider extensively and even let it go for rental sometimes and it's built for long usage. However, not recommended for more than 3kg camera especially when mounted in the middle on a tripod.

Get the Konova slider. I bought it several months ago and I can't believe how cheap it is.

Here's a couple videos I did with it, recently: 1, 2

I also own a GlideTrack. The Konova slider is much more sturdy. The GlideTrack will bend when on a tripod very easily, while the Konova does very well.

I have been using a T2i on a Manfrotto 701 HDV head atop the Konova slider.

I've also been using the slider with my live music video project over at www.lovedrunkstudio.com.

The slider is alright. I'd imagine it holds it's own compared to other sliders. As with all sliders, there is a little learning curve. I tend to like longer moves, so go for the longer length, but if you are traveling, as i was, I went with the shorter length. still get some cool shots. Don't play with it much I am generally shooting run and gun stuff lately.
