Kong Trailer..

Then surely you must be looking forward to "The Pick of Destiny" in 2006. And finally another Tenacious D album.
 
hell yes, dude. can't wait for the new D. during the trailer, when JB's trying to talk all serious, i kept thinking about tenacious D. i hope that doesn't happen during the movie...
 
This looks awesome, can't wait for it to come out. I've been following the progress on kongisking.net.

Am I mistaken or was that music in the trailer from Batman Begins?

I like the way you backed up what you said with you know something other than just a blanket "it sucks" statement! Way to go!

If box office and world wide acclaim from fans and critics means anything, you are sorely mistaken...

As for KONG... I just can't stand looking at Jack Black. For ME, he is the weakest link and the one piece of KONG so far I wish I could change.

Oh well. I can't, so I'll still go see it anyway!

I agree with the comment about Jack Black making it hard to look at.

However, his attitude and personality seems to be perfect for the role the way it has been written.

Maybe not, maybe so.

Quite frankly, while I look forward to seeing Kong, I'm very skeptical of the plot/writing.

I have faith in the writing team there. If anyone can capture the spirit of the original Kong, they can. We'll see in the end what happens!

Black may have the right energy and personality for the role, but I still can't look at him... he always has.... that.... look on his face. I can't explain it, but I can't stand it.

It won an Academy Award so it must be good... I don't think so, especially in the silly example you are citing above. There are many many many great actors, writers, and directors not to mention films that were never even nominated for an Oscar. Put that in your pipe and smoke it! :thumbsup:

It's like that smart-ass funny guy in school who was never serious. And now he's trying to be. That, and his dude-speak, which doesn't match the time of the film. But I'm sure it's still going to be a three hour E-ticket ride.

So....academy awards mean nothing then? I know one thing...that they mean alot more to everyone than your personal opinion. LOTR will go down in history as a legendary set of films....whether you like it or not.
 
LOTR dry and boring? Give me a break. I can't think of a more exciting series of films to come out in the past several years. Unfortunately, when a movie or series of movies become huge successes, people start trashing them. I'm sure there are also people that accuse Aliens or Raiders or Terminator of being "boring".
