Knee adjustment

I just got my 100a and did a shoot this weekend, and as I have been playing with menu settings I have noticed that you can only adjust the knee in low/mid/high gamma settings, but not in any of the cine gamma settings. But when you change the knee in low/mid/high it stays changed when you switch to a cine gamma setting. I am wondering if the knee is actually operating in any if the cine modes.
Anybody??

Re: Knee adjustment

The knee is only kicking in for values above 100 IRE, so careful exposure (such as underexposure) will you actually see the effect of the knee on the signal. When I had the A version on the scope, switching back to Cine Gamma mode did not have the knee applied.

Re: Knee adjustment

Hmmm,
Thats interesting, The reason I was so interested in the knee setting was because we were shooting in a casino with lots of little hotspots. So are you saying that setting knee to low and being in cinegamma-D = no knee?
