FS7: Kipon Tilt-Shift adapter?

Has anyone tried a Kipon Tilt shift adapter for Nikon lenses to Sony NEX. I've always wanted to try tilt shift lenses but thought they looked too expensive. But this is just $300 and I have a bunch of old Nikon AI glass just hanging around. I think it doesn't have quite the range of a true tilt shift lens but looks like enough to get some interesting effects.

Yes, I have and it doesn't work. Basically, the adapter won't lock in place because the back keeps hitting the lens release button housing.

I ended up buying Samyang tilt-shift which works quite well.

Just curious - is the fit close enough that a little grinding off on the adapter would make it clear without destroying it? Of course you'd kill the resell price.
Can you play with it when its not locked enough to see how you like the tilt-shift idea? Or actually use it just being careful because you don't have a full lock?
I can buy it from adorama and return after 30 days.

One more question:
Does the adapter hit the lock button on the FS7 only in shift mode or tilt mode. The cheap tilt adapters on eBay only tilt 8 degrees while the Kipon's tilt 12 degrees sand I can buy a tilt only version for $150. might be worth it if that works.
I ordered the cheap eBay version though - what the hell.
