I just watched the snow video in the screen grabs section. Gorgeous. The creator mentions using the kipon ef adaptor for canon lenses.

This is the first I've heard of the Kipon adapter. Anyone here using it? I'm looking for a store to buy it from, but can only find them on Ebay.

Any reputable store selling these?

what's your opinion of this one?

Thanks for your input

eBay seems to be it. It took less than a week to get mine, and I'm very happy with it, considering. It vignettes at certain focal lengths and certain settings (I tried it from 12-200mm), and isn't a perfect fit (it has a tiny bit of rotational slack when changing aperture), but other than that, I think it's very good. Besides aperture control, it serves as an impromptu body cap when closed all the way down. I'll probably keep it even after getting a Birger.

I used it this weekend with a 17-40 f4L. I was a little disappointed with it. Doesnt seem to stop down enough and then starts to vignette. I need to try it on the 50mm 1.8 and see if it works better.

It will do until the Birger adapter is around. I like it when having 35-85mm lenses but with my 100L lens it's pretty useless as far as iris adjustment goes. It vignettes before changing light input.
