Kino Flo tubes

Re: Kino Flo tubes

That was something I was worried about, but I bought an all-in-one fixture (the really cheap kind where you don't have to do anything, just plug them in and flip the switch). There is a slight hum, but it's only audible if you point the mic directly at the thing.

Re: Kino Flo tubes

Having just finished a shoot with a set of Kino-Flo's, I was very pleased with the results and ease of use with them.

Am very interested in building a set as well. Please post any DIY info and pix.

Also with the store bought all-in-one fixture can you turn on each bulb individually?

Thanx

Re: Kino Flo tubes

Thanks for the info, Taylor!

The store-bought fixtures I've used so far only have one bulb. I'll see if I can find a couple with multiple and then we'll see. I think it'll end up being an issue of twisting out the unwanted bulbs, though.

What are you asking?

4 banks are much more versitile than other units because you can power either 2ft or 4ft bulbs.
